2026 Conference Traveling to Host College

We are so excited to welcome AGS 2026 to the beautiful campus of Grand Valley State University! June is one of the most spectacular times to experience Michigan, when the state truly comes alive with lush greenery, sparkling water, and long, sunlit days. From its countless inland lakes to the shores of the Great Lakes, Michigan offers stunning beaches, charming small towns, and rich historical sites that make every journey feel like an adventure.

Whether you’re flying into Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR)—the closest and most convenient option—or arriving via Detroit (DTW), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), or Midway (MDW), the drive to campus is more than just transportation—it’s an opportunity to experience the character and beauty of the region. Rolling countryside, scenic waterfronts, and historic landmarks line the routes, making your trip part of the AGS experience itself.

Driving Distances to GVSU (Allendale Campus) from major regional airports:

  • GRR (Grand Rapids) – 25 miles (≈ 30–40 minutes)

  • Closest and most convenient option; a quick trip west to campus.

DTW (Detroit) – 170 miles (≈ 2.5–3 hours)

  • A smooth drive along I-96, passing through Lansing and classic Midwestern landscapes.

ORD (Chicago O’Hare) – 200 miles (≈ 4 hours)
